|USES:| This medication is a narcotic analgesic used to relieve moderate to severe pain.

|HOW TO USE:| This medication is given by injection. Because this medication is more effective for preventing pain than treating once it occurs, this is usually given regularly (every 2-4 hours) for a short time. Use this medication exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not increase your dose, use it more frequently or use it for a longer period of time than prescribed because this drug can be habit-forming. Also, if used for an extended period, do not suddenly stop using this drug without your doctor's approval. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped. Your dose may need to be gradually decreased. Over time, this drug may not work as well. Consult your doctor if this medication is not relieving the pain sufficiently.

|SIDE EFFECTS:| Stomach upset, |blurred vision|, drowsiness, |constipation|, |dizziness| or lightheadedness may occur. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor immediately if you develop: a rapid heart rate, |fainting|, mood changes, irritability, |anxiety|, mental |confusion|, hallucinations, nervousness, |tremors|, |depression|, seizures. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: |rash|, |itching|, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
