|WARNING:| Children and teenagers should not use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related medications for flu symptoms or |chickenpox| without first consulting a doctor. A rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.
|USES:| This medication is a combination of an anti-inflammatory agent and an antihistamine used to relieve the pain and swelling (inflammation) of |arthritis|.
|HOW TO USE:| Take this medication by mouth, generally 3 to 4 times daily with food or a full glass of milk (8oz. or 240 ml) as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.
|SIDE EFFECTS:| Heartburn, nausea, vomiting, |headache|, drowsiness, dizziness, nervousness and |dry mouth| may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. To relieve |dry mouth|, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use a saliva substitute. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: stomach pain, black stools, vomiting of material that looks like coffee grounds, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, blurred vision, a change in amount of urine. A serious allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction include: |rash|, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other side effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
